The leak of the Google Pixel 4a case shows that it could get wireless charging compete with Apple's iPhone SE.
By Next Month, the google pixel 4a should have been released, and as time never cease to stop, july is already so close and more leaks about the phone are beginning to surface.
The recent information about the pixel 4a comes from phone case manufacturer, ESR, courtesy of Pixel 4a renders. The information confirms what is already known about the phone’s design. But it also reveales that the Pixel 4a could have wireless charging.
One of the render images that was used to showcase the ‘Pixel 4a Metal Kickstand Phone Case’ by ESR reveals how the case will make it easy for the smartphone to still be charged on a wireless pad. Although we all need to have a little bit of skepticism here, as these renders aren’t official, it does point out that the Pixel 4a could possiblly have the wireless charging capabilities of its full flagship stablemates liike the the pixle 4 itself.
This might actually sound a bit surprising to some people, considering the fact that the Pixel 3a didn’t have wireless charging. But such capability, the appeal of Google pixel 4a would most definately boost and it would help it better compete with Apple's iPhone SE 2020.
The other image renders confirms that the Pixel 4a will have a single rear camera, that would most likely be a 12.2MP lens, situated in a square module, just as mentioned in previous leaks and rumors. Sadly though, this means the Pixel 4a won’t have the dual rear cameras of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.
That means the Pixel 4a could have camera capabilities that are much more of an upgrade over the first Pixel a lineup rather than a cutdown take on the Pixel 4’s rear cameras. nevertheless, Google’s phone photography abilities are as a result of its skill in computational photography, that is, the Pixel phones have managed to deliver impressive photos with fewer cameras than their rivals. For instance, the Pixel 4 delivers photos that mostly triumph those of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus and at times beat the renowned iPhone 11 Pro, which is actually one of the picks of a lot of people for the best phone cameras that exist right now.
The ESR renders also reveals how the Pixel 4a will make use of a punch-hole selfie camera to deliver a display that has significantly slimmer bezels than the Pixel 4. It actually means there’s not likely going to be any space for Google’s Soli chip used to power its face unlocking tech in the Pixel 4. Of course no specs were mentioned in the ESR listing. But so far it is believed that the Pixel 4a will be powered by a Snapdragon 730 chip, which promises decent performance especially if it comes with 6GB of RAM. The storage of the device is expected to start a 128GB. There’s no word on battery size yet, although it is hoped that it will be bigger than the Pixel 3a's 3,000 mAh pack.
Google's Pixel 4a will have to battle Apple’s iPhone SE for the best value phone. In spite of being the cheapest iPhone, it comes with the same high-end A13 Bionic chipset as the iPhone 11, it has wireless charging, and also puts in remarkable phone photography with its single 12MP rear camera. In most web surfing test over 4G LTE, the iPhone SE managed an acceptable 9 hours and 18 minutes of battery life; which is actually not so good. So the Pixel 4a might lose out to the iPhone SE on sheer performance, but it has the opportunity to beat Apple’s handset on photography and battery life. And with a more modern design, the Pixel 4a could appeal to people who don’t want a smartphone that looks a so outdated.
